Metallica’s James Hetfield and Rob Trujillo to Appear in ‘Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater’ Game

Metallica members will be ‘playable characters’ on the new ‘Tony Hawk Pro Skater’ video game
Metallica fans who are into gaming are in luck, as Metallica frontman James Hetfield and bass player Rob Trujillo are set to appear in the newest version of “Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater.” A post on the Pro Skater Facebook page has announced that Hetfield and Trujillo will be “playable characters” in a new download pack available for XBox 360 and Playstation 3.
The game, called “Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 HD Revert Pack,” will arrive on Dec. 4, so just in time for Christmas shopping. The set will run $4.99.
The guys of Metallica are in good company, as past musicians who have appeared as characters on the game include Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, late Beastie Boys rapper Adam “MCA” Yauch and Green Day singer and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong.
In other Metallica news, the metal guys are gearing up to release a new live concert video album, “Quebec Magnetic,” on Dec. 10. The DVD features footage from two concerts the band played at the Colisée Pepsi in Quebec City, Canada on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, 2009, on their World Magnetic Tour. The release will offer footage from the Nov. 1 show in its entirety, with songs from the Oct. 31 October concert included as extras.
