Stone Temple Pilots’ Scott Weiland is ready to tie the knot

Stone Temple Pilots singer Scott Weiland is taking things to the next level with his photographer girlfriend Jamie Wachtel, as the two are planning a spring wedding. The lovebirds met last year while Weiland was in the midst of taping videos for his Christmas album, “The Most Wonderful Time of Year.”

“I am incredibly happy,” Weiland told Rolling Stone about the engagement. “She is incredibly beautiful in every aspect of the word. Lovely, smart, passionate. And she loves my kids and I love her son. We’re getting married in the spring, and our families will be living together … she’s the greatest thing that’s happened to me in a long, long time.”

Weiland also said he was surprised to fall in love again, but couldn’t resist Wachtel. “… I had fallen in love a couple times in my life and then for a long time, I’ve been very disappointed and to the point where I’ve been resolved to the fact that possibly it would never happen again and almost accepted that it would be OK,” he said. “And then I met her.”

This will mark Weiland’s third walk down the aisle, as he was married to Janina Castaneda from 1994 to 2000 and Mary Forsberg from 2000 to 2007.
