The Killers Working with Tim Burton and Winona Ryder on New Music Video
Alternative rockers the Killers have tapped Tim Burton and Winona Ryder to be involved with their upcoming music video
The Killers mean business when it comes to the music video for their upcoming single off “Battle Born.” The Las Vegas-based alternative band has tapped famed director Tim Burton to direct and actress Winona Ryder to star in the clip. The video is already in the can, too, as the Blackpool Gazette is reporting that the clip was recently filmed at Blackpool’s Tower Ballroom in the U.K.
While the Killers were visiting the U.K., they were apparently really nice to fans. The evening before filming the video, fans spotted the gents at a screening of the new James Bond film, Skyfall, at an Odeon theater in Blackpool. “It was really exciting,” theater manager Samantha Sinclair told the Gazette. “They were happy to have photos taken with locals…They were really nice, not very chatty…”
No word yet on when the new music video will be released, but fans are hoping it won’t take too long.
In other Killers news, last week, that band had to cut its gig in Manchester, U.K., short because lead singer Brandon Flowers was suffering from a sore throat, and the guys ended up canceling their gig the following night in the U.K., as well. The band posted about it on their official Facebook page and promised to reschedule the dates.
