Thom Yorke and Flea’s Atoms for Peace Announce New Album Details
Atoms for Peace, featuring Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea, are set to release a new album in 2013
There’s plenty of excitement surrounding the upcoming release from Atoms for Peace, the famed side project featuring Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke and Red Hot Chili Peppers bass slinger Flea. Now, fans finally have a bona fide release date for the band’s first-ever studio album.
According to RollingStone.com, Atoms for Peace will release their debut set of songs, named “Amok,” on Jan. 28, 2013. The album will offer nine songs in all, including the band’s current single, “Default.”
As for whether Atoms for Peace — which also features drummer Joey Waronker and Radiohead co-producer Nigel Godrich — will go out on the road in support of “Amok,” Yorke says it’s likely. “I hope so. We all want to,” he told Rolling Stone.
“Amok” will arrive on CD, digital download and vinyl. Check out the album’s track listing below.
