Green Day Announce New 2013 Tour Dates
Green Day have posted their rescheduled 2013 itinerary
Following pop-punk band Green Day canceling a handful of 2012 tour dates and postponing dates in early 2013, the band has now posted a rescheduled itinerary for a 2013 tour to promote their latest albums. The jaunt will kick off March 28 at the Allstate Arena in Chicago and close out April 12 in Quebec City. Anyone holding tickets for the original dates will be able to use those passes for the new dates.
“Dear friends… I just want to thank you all for the love and support you’ve shown for the past few months,” Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong said in an official statement. “Believe me, it hasn’t gone unnoticed and I’m eternally grateful to have such an amazing set of friends and family.”
Armstrong checked himself into rehab earlier this year to deal with a substance abuse problem. “I’m getting better every day,” he said. “So now, without further ado, the show must go on. We can’t wait to get on the road and live out load! Our passion has only grown stronger.” (Photo credit: Anne Erickson.)
West Coast tour dates will be announced in early 2013.
