Kings of Leon Drummer Nathan Followill Welcomes Baby Girl
Kings of Leon’s Nathan Followill and his wife, Jessie Baylin, welcomed their first baby this week
Congratulations are in order for Kings of Leon‘s Nathan Followill. The drummer celebrated Christmas week with the gift of becoming a dad for the first time. Followill revealed the news on Thursday (Dec. 27) via Twitter: “I can proudly announce the birth of my sweet angel Violet Marlowe Followill. My heart has been stolen and it feels so good.”
Violet was born Wednesday (Dec. 26) at 4:01 p.m. in Nashville, Tenn., and weighed 7 pounds, 13 ounces, according to Zap2it.com. Violet is the first baby for Followill and his wife, singer-songwriter Jessie Baylin, who have been married since 2009.
Followill isn’t the only Kings of Leon rocker with a kid. Followill’s brother, lead singer Caleb Followill, and his wife Lily Aldridge had their first child, daughter Dixie Pearl, in June of this year. His cousin, guitarist Matthew Followill, is also a father, as he and his wife Johanna Bennett had their first child, son Knox, in 2011.
