Mad Season to Release ‘Above’ Deluxe Edition in April
Mad Season’s upcoming ‘Above’ box set will reach stores this spring
Grunge supergroup Mad Season are set to drop an expanded box set of their 1995 album “Above,” and now, surviving members guitarist Mike McCready of Pearl Jam and drummer Barrett Martin starting to release more details about the upcoming goodies.
While Mad Season originally planned to release the box set in March of 2013, the date has now been pushed back to April 16. While that’s a ways off, fans may already pre-order the deluxe edition of “Above” from Pearl Jam’s online store. The deluxe set runs $24.99 and includes two CDs and one DVD. The tracklisting is still to be announced, but chances are the release will combine tracks from “Above” with some unreleased live recordings.
In other Mad Season news, the band recently released a special 10” colored vinyl in conjunction with Record Store Day’s Black Friday incentives featuring their popular single, “River of Deceit,” as well as a live version of “I Don’t Know Anything.” For a complete list of new Record Store Day items out this season, head to the event’s official website.
