The Breeders Back Together for 20th Anniversary of ‘Last Splash’
The Breeders have reunited to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their ‘Last Splash’ album
The Breeders’ lineup of Kim Deal, Kelley Deal, Josephine Wiggs and Jim Macpherson have gotten back together in honor of the 20th anniversary of their seminal album, ‘Last Splash.’ According to an official press release, the guys actually got together in November to start rehearsing, following a simple text from Deal that stated, “Should we get together to play ‘Last Splash’ for its twentieth anniversary?”
Fans hoping to check out the Breeders live are in luck, as the alternative rock group has already announced a gig at Deerhunter’s ATP Festival next June, and they’ll play ‘Last Splash’ in its entirety at the event. More tour dates are expected to be announced soon.
The Breeders are also set to release “LSXX,” a deluxe anniversary edition of “Last Splash,” in April. The original album dropped on Aug. 31, 1993.
