After a year off, Wilco’s Solid Sound Music and Arts Festival will be back in 2013

Alternative country group Wilco has dropped the news that their Solid Sound Music and Arts Festival will be back in full force next summer. The festival is set to happen June 21 through 23 at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art in North Adams, Mass.

Wilco will take the stage for two headlining sets during the three-day event of “music, comedy, art and community.” The festival will also feature a variety of yet-to-be-announced performers hand-picked by the band. On top of music, a special comedy cabaret programmed and hosted by actor and author John Hodgman will also be a part of the festivities. A full list of performers for the Solid Sound Music and Arts Festival will be announced in the coming weeks.

Three-day “early worm” tickets are currently available at the festival’s official website for $99, bringing in a $50 savings from the normal price, and a limited number of single-day tickets will go on sale early in 2013.

The debut Solid Sound Music and Arts Festival took place in the summer of 2010, with Wilco topping the bill along with Mavis Staples, Avi Buffalo, Outrageous Cherry, Richard Bishop, the Books, the Nels Cline Singers and more. The festival returned in 2011 but took a break this year so Wilco could focus on launching their own record label.
