Queens of the Stone Age post ‘Secrets of the Sound’ spoof video
Fans of Queens of the Stone Age are no doubt stoked to hear new music from the guys in 2013, but they won’t have to wait until next year to catch a video chronicling the making of the band’s upcoming, sixth studio set. Kind of. The members of Queens of the Stone Age took to Facebook this week to post a spoof about the making of their next album. Watch the clip below.
Inspired by “This is Spinal Tap,” the video, called “Secrets of the Sound,” is hosted by funny guys Steve Agee and Matt Barry. The nine-minute clip was filmed in the recording studio with band members Josh Homme, Dean Fertita, Michael Shuman and Troy Van Leeuwen hilariously evading questions from Agee and Barry.
Queens of the Stone Age are on target to unleash their latest musical concoction in 2013. It’s shaping up to be a star-studded album, too, with guest appearances from Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor, Foo Fighters frontman and former Nirvana guitarist Dave Grohl, Scissor Sisters vocalist Jake Shears and former Queens of the Stone Age bass player Nick Oliveri.
