U.K. charity organization War Child turns 20 years old this year, and in honor of the landmark, the folks behind War Child have put their resources together to release an album of songs that musicians have donated to them over the past 20 years. With so many artists having contributed music to War Child, the compilation album features some big names. The release, War Child 20: The Best Of, offers cover songs and different versions of songs from the likes of Coldplay, Muse, Beck, Oasis, Radiohead, Portishead, the Prodigy, Gorillaz and David Bowie, to name a few. Muse fans should note that War Child is also giving away a free download of Muse performing a cover version of “House of the Rising Sun” which twists and turns until the tune becomes “Time Is Running Out,” from the alternative rock trio’s third studio release, “Absolution.” Simply head over to the War Child website and submit your email address to score the tune.
