No Doubt Already Working on New Album
Gwen Stefani-fronted No Doubt are already plotting out their follow-up to ‘Push and Shove’
No Doubt may have released their latest full-length, “Push and Shove,” just last year, but Gwen Stefani and the gang are already ready to churn out some new music. According to a post on the band’s official Facebook page, the band is currently in the studio and working on a follow-up to “Push and Shove.”
“While we were traveling the world last year promoting ‘Push and Shove,’ Gwen mentioned she was inspired to write new music,” the post stated. “In December, around the time of our hometown shows, we discussed the idea of starting 2013 by getting back into the studio together. We did so in January and the new music started flowing with unexpected ease. After spending three years recording the last album, this new pace feels incredibly exciting.”
All the writing and recording means not to expect a mega No Doubt tour this summer. The band stated they will “focus on this new music that we don’t want to stop,” so they’re putting off their tour plans “briefly” as they work “to create something special and inspired.” The band hopes to share the new tunes with fans “as quickly as possible — both recorded and live on tour.”
