Machine Head Holding Bass Player Auditions
Metal band Machine Head are looking for a new bass player for this summer’s Mayhem run
Think you have what it takes to be Machine Head’s new bass player? Then this is your year. The metal band has announced that they’re starting to search for “temporary” bass player for the band’s upcoming Mayhem trek. For a short period of time, the group will look through YouTube submissions of interested bass players. If you’re planning to send in your stuff, make sure to include the following:
1. Video: A standalone performance of the songs listed below, just you, singing and playing bass along to the tracks off the albums. **Camera phone is fine as long as it’s stable**
2. A brief 1- to-2-minute statement about your musical experience; playing, touring experience, etc.
Next, players should upload their videos to YouTube and email a link (or links) to MHBassAuditions@gmail.com that includes the following songs: “This Is the End,” “Halo” and “Beautiful Mourning.”
After the band goes through the potential players, they will conduct in-person try-outs at a location that has yet to be decided, according to Machine Head’s official statement. So, what are you waiting for? Start sending in your videos for the chance to play one of this summer’s biggest stages.
