AFI to Return in September
AFI have released a mysterious video clip teasing a September 2013 return
Post-hardcore goth-punk guys AFI are dropping a big hint that new music is on the way. Today (April 16), the band released a theatrical video clip, ending with the clue, “September 2013.” While the band didn’t release an official statement saying whether the date signifies the release date for a new album or single, it’s a sign something musical is imminent.
The video begins with lead singer Davey Havok dressed in black, eerily walking down a lonesome, black-and-white hallway, in slow motion. Haunting poetry is recited during Havok’s walk, and finally, the video wraps with Havok opening a door and meeting up with the rest of the members of AFI. Suddenly, all of them jump into what seems like it’s going to be a live performance, and that’s when the video wraps with the words “A Fire Inside” and “September 2013.” Watch the video below.
AFI took to Twitter tonight to send the video out to the world, simply tweeting a link to their official website, which currently features the video on the front page. It was the band’s first tweet since February of 2012.
