Alice in Chains, Jane’s Addiction, Coheed and Cambria + More to Play 2013 Uproar Festival
The 2013 Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival has unveiled its full 2013 lineup
The folks behind the 2013 Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival unveiled the full festival lineup today (April 22), and the headliners include ‘90s rockers Alice in Chains and Jane’s Addiction.
Other bands slated for the summer festival’s Main Stage include Coheed and Cambria and Circa Survive. Acts booked for the Festival Stage include Walking Papers, Danko Jones, Middle Class Rut, New Politics and last year’s Uproar battle of the bands winner, Chuck Shaffer Picture Show. Walking Papers, of course, is the supergroup comprised made up of bass player Duff McKagan (ex-Guns N’ Roses), drummer Barrett Martin (former Screaming Trees), singer-guitarist Jeff Angell (The Missionary Position) and keyboardist Benjamin Anderson (The Missionary Position).
Alice in Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell is stoked to be heading out on the road with Jane’s Addiction. “We wanted to go out with another really great band,” Cantrell said via the festival’s official website. “Jane’s Addiction is a band we’ve always really admired. I remember during our early days those guys would come through town…”
This year’s Uproar Festival will set off on Friday, Aug. 9, in Scranton, Pa., and run through a show Sept. 15 in Irvine, Calif. Find the full itinerary below. Tickets for the trek go on sale this Thursday (April 25) via the festival’s official website.
