Pop-rock trio Goo Goo Dolls are the latest inductees into Guitar Center’s RockWalk
The Goo Goo Dolls are set to get a cool honor next month, as the guys are scheduled to be inducted into the Guitar Center’s RockWalk at a special invitation-only event on May 7 in Hollywood, Calif. Rob Cavallo, the pop-rock trio’s trusty producer, will give a welcome address at the event and pay tribute to the group’s long list of achievements.
Goo Goo Dolls will be joining a slew of other high-profile rock acts who have already been inducted into the RockWalk, including Carlos Santana, Stevie Wonder, Aerosmith, Van Halen, AC/DC, Queen and more.
“We are thrilled to have been selected for induction to Guitar Center’s RockWalk,” lead singer and guitarist Johnny Rzeznik said in an official statement. “It’s an honor to be here with all these musical legends.”
In other Goo Goo Dolls news, the band recently announced a major summer tour in support of their upcoming full-length album, “Magnetic,” out June 11. The tour, which will see Goo Goo Dolls co-headlining with Matchbox Twenty, will kick off June 15 at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, N.H., and close out Aug. 18 at the Comcast Center in Mansfield, Mass.
