Jack White Offers Unreleased White Stripes Live Set to Vault Series Subscribers
Third Man Records Vault subscribers will have the chance to pick up a set of previously-unreleased live recordings from the White Stripes
Jack White’s Third Man Records subscription series, The Vault, has a fun freebie on the way. The sixteenth chapter of the series will offer an album of previously-unreleased live recordings from White’s former garage-rock duo, the White Stripes.
The set will offer a double-disc vinyl album that follows The Stripes’ famed concert at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago on July 2, 2003. The release, “Nine Miles from the White City,” will include 26 songs and performances of White Stripes favorites “Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground,” “We Are Going to Be Friends” and “Seven Nation Army.” The set also includes cover songs by Captain Beefheart, Bob Dylan and blues performer Robert Johnson. Check out the full track listing below.
Subscribers to the Vault series will also score a 7” vinyl album with solo demo recordings of White performing “Little Acorns” and “I Want to Be the Boy to Warm Your Mother’s Heart,” plus a 56-page photo book packing photos taken during the recording sessions for the White Stripes’ 2003 “Elephant” album.
