‘Metallica: The Complete Illustrated History’ will be released this October

With Orion Music + More festival plus a special, 3D movie on the way, Metallica fans have lots of be excited about this summer. Now, fans will have one more Metallica goodie to look forward to coming out this year.

Voyageur Press has announced that it will release a new book about the band, called “Metallica: The Complete Illustrated History,” on October 15. Penned by heavy metal journalist Martin Popoff, the book will pack tales told by Metallica and will also offer an analysis of the group’s full discography. The book will also offer over a variety of live and off-stage photos, as well as photos of the group’s concert tees, picture sleeves, concert posters, backstage passes, buttons, ticket stubs throughout the years and more.

In other band news, the second annual Orion Music + More festival is set to take place June 8-9 at Belle Isle Park in Detroit, Mich. Headliners this year include Metallica and Red Hot Chili Peppers.  Metallica’s 3D concert film, “Metallica Through the Never,” will hit movie theaters on August 9.
