
STP singer Scott Weiland will hit the West Coast this spring
Despite rumors of Scott Weiland being kicked out of Stone Temple Pilots, the singer has been touring the country on his Purple at the Core tour, playing STP hits and solo ditties in intimate, stripped-down settings. Now, the singer has announced a new a leg of West Coast dates for the tour, which has Weiland performing with his backup band, the Wildabouts. Expect to hear songs Stone Temple Pilots’ first two albums: 1992’s “Core” and 1994’s “Purple.”
The new tour dates set off on May 29 at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, Calif., and will wrap up on June 8 at the Silver Legacy Casino in Reno, Nev. View the full tour roster below.
In other Weiland news, the singer recently announced that he and the Wildabouts are working hard on his next solo album. The guys also plan to schedule more tour dates throughout the rest of this year.
