Ben Folds Five gearing up to release their debut live album, ‘Ben Folds Five Live’
Ben Folds Five are coming up on the release of their debut live album, “Ben Folds Five Live,” and they want fans to hear the tunes from the release a bit early. The group has posted a stream of the entire album online via The Wall Street Journal’s Speakeasy blog.
“Ben Folds Five Live” will drop this Tuesday (June 4). The release brings together 15 songs that were recorded during the band’s 2012-2013 world tour, including various gigs in Boston, San Francisco, Boston, Tokyo and beyond. As for song selection, the tracks cover the group’s complete career, featuring Ben Folds Five favorites, songs off the band’s reunion album and some Folds solo material. In addition to releasing “Ben Folds Five Live” this summer, the guys have booked a North American tour alongside Barenaked Ladies and Guster.
