Third Man Records unleashing live sets from the Kills and the Shins on June 25
Jack White’s Nashville-based label Third Man Records has revealed that they’ll be unleashing live releases from two popular alternative bands later this month: the Shins and the Kills. The 12” vinyl records will offer audio from live performances recorded and mixed at the Third Man Blue Room last October employing Third Man Records’ unique direct-to-acetate recording process.
The Shins Live at Third Man Records offers eight songs featuring a collection of tracks off the band’s latest studio album, “Port of Morrow,” and beyond. The Kills Live at Third Man Records, also features eight tracks, with six coming off the band’s 2011 release, “Blood Pressures.”
The albums will run $15 each, or they can be purchased for $40 as the Rocktober Direct-to-Acetate Bundle, which offers both albums, plus a live record from Seasick Steve. The releases are available for pre-order via the Third Man Records website and will be shipped tomorrow (June 25).
