Watch Metallica Perform ‘Seek & Destroy’ at Comic-Con
Video: Watch the guys of Metallica perform ‘Seek & Destroy’ during their secret Comic-Con performance
The guys of Metallica are often full of surprises, and last week, the guys shocked fans during the San Diego Comic-Con by performing a secret show at the Spreckels Theatre to promote the band’s upcoming 3D concert film, “Through the Never.” Now, those who weren’t at Comic-Con to experience the action can watch some footage of the show via Metallica’s YouTube channel.
The video offers more than simply the Comic-Con performance, to boot. The 24-minute clip packs footage of Metallica practicing for the show and picking the set list for the gig, plus the performance of “Seek & Destroy” off Metallica’s debut full-length, “Kill ‘Em All.”
“Through the Never” is set to debut at every IMAX theater in North America beginning Sept. 27 and running for a week. Then, the film will be released in additional theaters beginning Oct. 4.
In other band news, the guys of Metallica have started to talk about their follow-up to 2008’s “Death Magnetic.” According to drummer Lars Ulrich, although the band doesn’t have a timetable for the upcoming release, the guys have hundreds of song ideas in the works.
