Pearl Jam Announce New Album, ‘Lightning Bolt’
Pearl Jam will release their tenth studio album, ‘Lightning Bolt,’ this fall
Pearl Jam have finally announced their highly-anticipated, tenth studio album. Titled “Lightning Bolt,” the release is slated to arrive on Oct. 15.
The guys took to their official website yesterday (July 11) to announce the news, posting a 41-second video that offers footage of the band writing and recording the upcoming album in the studio. Right at the end of the video, the band reveals the album’s artwork and release date, as well as the name of the album’s debut single, “Mind Your Manners.”
Fans can also check out a full stream of “Mind Your Manners” via their YouTube channel.
In other Pearl Jam news, earlier this week, the band announced a handful of 2013 fall tour dates in support of the new album. The upcoming tour is set to begin Oct. 11 at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pa., and wrap up Dec. 6 at the Key Arena in Seattle, Wash. Tickets for the concerts will go on sale starting July 27 at 10 a.m. local venue time, while members of Pearl Jam’s fan club, the Ten Club, may purchase tickets now via Pearl Jam’s official website.
