Linkin Park to Release New Song with ‘LP Recharge’ Facebook Game
Linkin Park to unleash ‘A Light that Never Comes’ via the band’s upcoming ‘LP Recharge’ Facebook game
The gents of Linkin Park are getting into the electronic dance crazy. The band has announced they will release a new song they recently recorded with dance music artist Steve Aoki, called “A Light That Never Comes,” that fans can unlock by playing a free Facebook game, “LP Recharge,” which will arrive on Sept. 12.
The game is staged in the not-too-distant future where humans have depleted all natural resources on the planet, and players fight to recharge the world with clean, sustainable energy. Registration for the game is taking place now via Linkin Park’s official Facebook page.
In other Linkin Park news, the band is currently writing the follow-up to 2012’s “Living Things,” which is expected to drop sometime in 2014. In the meantime, frontman Chester Bennington is keeping busy as the new singer for grunge icons Stone Temple Pilots. Bennington joined the band last spring, replacing longtime vocalist Scott Weiland, and the new lineup is set to kick off a North American tour Sept. 4 at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center in Bethlehem, Pa.
