Soul Asylum, Fountains of Wayne and the Lemonheads’ Evan Dando Announce Tour
Soul Asylum, Fountains of Wayne and the Lemonheads’ Evan Dando hitting the road
A trio of famed alternative pop-rock bands are slated to hit the road together this fall, as Soul Asylum, Fountains of Wayne and Evan Dando of the Lemonheads have joined forces for a trek. Each band will player “their own deep catalog of melodic, guitar-driven songs, including a handful of bonafide pop smashes” on the tour, according to a release.
The North American jaunt will set off on Sept. 27 at the Asylum in Portland, Maine, and travel through Chicago, New York City, Pittsburgh and more.
In other Soul Asylum news, the Dave Pirner-fronted group is in the midst of releasing a four part series of three-track EPs, featuring the ‘80s and ‘90s grunge-flavored band covering some of their favorite tunes. Part 1 is out now, featuring covers of tracks by the Joy Division, Suicide Commandos and MC5. For more on Soul Asylum and the upcoming tour, head to the band’s official website.
