Cassette Store Day arrives Saturday (Sept. 7), offering a variety of limited edition tape releases

The first annual Cassette Store Day kicks off Saturday (Sept. 7), offering the equivalent of Record Store Day for tape lovers everywhere. In celebration of the classic, ‘80s-style cassette, the day will offer limited edition tape releases from a collection of labels and artists.

A few of the releases set for Cassette Store Day include Animal Collective (“Sung Tongs”), the Flaming Lips (“The Terror”), Guided by Voices (“English Little League”), At the Drive-In (“Relationship of Command and Acrobatic Tenement”), Helm (“Orange Tanks”), Eternal Summers (“Correct Behavior”), Volcano Choir (“Repave”), Los Campesinos! (“A Good Night for a Fist Fight”), JJ DOOM (“Keys to the Kuffs Butter Edition”), Haim (“Forever” EP), Deerhunter (“Monomania”) and Gold-Bears (“Are You Falling in Love?”) and Gold Panda (“Half of Where You Live”) among others.
