Stream Eddie Vedder and Neil Finn’s cover version of Hunters & Collectors’ ‘Throw Your Arms Around Me’

Pearl Jam singer Eddie Vedder and Crowded House singer Neil Finn have posted a new track from their recent collaboration for “Crucible: The Songs of Hunters & Collectors,” an upcoming album paying tribute to Australian rock group Hunters & Collectors. Vedder and Finn put their own spin on the band’s tune “Throw Your Arms Around Me” for the release, and the song can be streamed via their official SoundCloud account.

“Crucible: The Songs of Hunters & Collectors” will reach stores and online outlets on Sept. 27 via Liberation Music, a branch of Michael Gudinski’s Mushroom Group. The collection will feature 15 songs and a selection of popular musicians performing cover versions of Hunters & Collectors songs.

“I, along with the cream of great musicians from all around this country and beyond, have been given a wonderful opportunity to come together and pay our respects,” Gudinski said in an official statement. “And what an utterly amazing legacy it is, revisited and reinterpreted by their admirers more than 30 years from where it began and for the generations of music fans that will follow.”
