A Perfect Circle Streaming New Song, ‘By and Down’
A Perfect Circle have revealed their first new song in nine years, ‘By and Down’
Maynard James Keenan-fronted A Perfect Circle are back with a new greatest hits compilation, “Three Sixty,” due out Nov. 19. The 13-song set (or 19 tracks, for the deluxe version) features a bevy of the rock band’s greatest hits, as well as a new song, a studio version of “By and Down,” which the band unleashed today via SPIN.
“By and Down” is A Perfect Circle’s first new studio song in nine years. The five-minute experimental art-rock track was written during the group’s 2010 and 2011 tour and previewed at a few of those shows. The song is eerie, moody and dramatic, in typical A Perfect Circle fashion.
A Perfect Circle recently sold out of all 2,500 copies of their “A Perfect Circle Live: Featuring Stone and Echo” box set. Fans that didn’t snatch up the set in time will have the chance to purchase the collection digitally, though, as the band will release the full 4CD/1DVD package digitally on Nov. 26. The box set feature live performances of all of the band’s studio albums (2000’s “Mer de Noms,” 2003’s “Thirteenth Step” and 2004’s “eMOTIVe”), a DVD of the band’s 2011 show at Red Rocks and a few more goodies.
A Perfect Circle’s “By and Down” is currently streaming via SPIN.
