Atoms for Peace Release Sandy ‘Before Your Very Eyes’ Video
Thom Yorke gets buried in a heap of sand in Atoms for Peace’s new music video for ‘Before Your Very Eyes’
Thom Yorke is in full Atoms for Peace mode at the moment, as he’s touring the country with his band mates, Red Hot Chili Peppers bass player Flea, Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich, percussionist Mauro Refosco and drummer Joey Waronker in support of the group’s debut studio album, “Amok.” Now, the group has released a new video for “Before Your Very Eyes,” a song off “Amok,” and it features Yorke encapsulated in a world of sand. Watch the video below.
The animated music video’s theme follows the artwork for “Amok,” which was designed by Radiohead colleague Stanley Donwood, although the video is in color, as opposed to the black and white stylings of “Amok”. The clip depicts Yorke singing in a large heap of sand. In the end, York and everything else in the video, from buildings to roads, gets ingested by the sand.
Atoms for Peace have been on the road for the majority of the summer and fall, and the guys will close out their current world tour in November with some Japan shows.
