Watch Dave Grohl, Jack Black and Val Kilmer in the latest Yahoo ‘Ghost Ghirls’ episode
Foo Fighters frontman and former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, Tenacious D’s Jack Black and actor Val Kilmer have joined forces for a new episode of Yahoo’s regular comedy web series, “Ghost Ghirls.” On it, the trio of guys play the ghosts of a pretend 1970s Southern country rock band, Sweetriver and the Huckleberry Dogs. As you can imagine, things get pretty funny.
The episode, called “Spirits of ’76,” has the Ghost Ghirls looking into a mysterious haunting at a local recording studio. During their adventure, they find the furious spirits of Sweetriver and the Huckleberry Dogs. In an attempt to have the unruly group to pass to the great beyond, the Ghost Ghirls use their talents to help Sweetriver and the Huckleberry Dogs finish recording their final song, “Back to the Beginning.”
The two-part episode is available for viewing at Yahoo’s Screen channel. What’s more, the music of Sweetriver and the Huckleberry Dogs featured in the episode is available for purchase via iTunes, including the songs “Back to the Beginning” and “Georgia Peach.”
