Pixies Announce 2014 North American Tour Dates
Pixies will tour North America early next year
Good news for Pixies fans: The legendary ‘80s alternative rock band just announced a full slate of upcoming North American tour dates in support of their new EP, “EP1,” the band’s first collection of new songs in over 20 years. “EP1” is the first of a set of EPs planned to be released via Pixies’ website.
The North American tour will cover 33 cities over two months. The trek is set to kick off Jan. 15 at Massey Hall in Toronto and travel through venues in Boston, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Chicago, Columbus, Las Vegas, Portland and beyond before wrapping up March 1 at the Music Hall in Austin, Texas. Supporting Pixies on tour tour will be Fidlar (Jan. 15 through 29), Cults (Jan 31 through Feb. 11) and Best Coast (Feb. 13 through Mar. 1). This tour will be one of the band’s first treks without founding bass player Kim Deal.
Tickets for the upcoming tour dates will go on sale to the general public starting Friday (Oct. 11) at 10 a.m. local time and will be available via the band’s official website. Find the full list of 2014 tour dates below.
