The Black Keys, Linkin Park and fun. are among the bands offering personalized sneakers in an eBay charity auction
The Black Keys, fun. and Linkin Park are among the many artists offering up personalized band sneakers in an online auction that’s for a good cause. The auction will benefit a handful of important charities, such as the National Breast Cancer Foundation, which raises funds to promote breast cancer awareness and provide diagnostic breast care services for those in need.
The auction, called “In Their Shoes,” offers over 80 pairs of specially-designed Converse sneakers, each of them autographed and personalized by the artists and bands. Money raised from the online auction will be sent to the National Breast Cancer Foundation or another charity picked by the artists.
Other alternative rock acts who personalized sneakers for the auction include Foals, Bon Iver, Grouplove, Moby, Paramore, the National, Portugal. the Man, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Tame Impala. Some pop artists offering personalized sneakers include Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Christina Perri and Tegan and Sara.
The auction runs through Oct. 29 on eBay.
