Dave Grohl Would Join Zac Brown Band in a ‘Heartbeat’
Dave Grohl says if he weren’t already in Foo Fighters, he would join country rockers Zac Brown Band
Country rockers Zac Brown Band and Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl have been working hard on a new release, all produced by Grohl at the helm. The set, called “The Grohl Sessions Vol. 1,” will drop via iTunes Tuesday (Dec. 10).
In preparation for the release, the gang has released a special, behind-the-scenes video on YouTube, which offers a look at the recording of the album, as well as interviews with Grohl and the group.
In the video, Grohl says he was more than impressed with Zac Brown Band’s talent. “I’m not sure if there are any bands like them, they just seem to go in any direction they feel like going, and they do it comfortably,” Grohl said. “There’s never anything really forced about what they do.” Grohl goes on to say that if he didn’t have his own band, Foo Fighters, he would join Zac Brown Band in a “heartbreat.”
Singer Zac Brown has some good things to say about Grohl in the clip, as well. “Dave is a musical genius,” Zac Brown said. “It’s been amazing to play with him on stage and get to spend time working with him in the studio. We are excited for fans to hear the music we’ve been able to create together.”
