Evanescence Singer Amy Lee is Pregnant
Evanescence frontwoman Amy Lee is expecting her first child
Evanescence singer Amy Lee is pregnant. The 32-year-old frontwoman announced the happy news via her official Twitter account on Saturday (Jan. 18), tweeting out, “Ok I can’t keep it a secret anymore-I’ve been working on a very special new project for 2014-A BABY! Josh and I are expecting! I’m so happy!”
No word yet on whether she’s having a boy or a girl or when the baby is due, but the tweet implies that she’s known for a while.
In other news, Lee recently recorded her first score with composer Dave Eggar for the upcoming indie movie “War Story,” which will premiere at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival. Speaking with MTV News, Lee explained that the music for the film is “going to surprise my fans” and that it’s not what’s typically thought of in terms of Evanescence music. The film, she added, is dark, introspective and doesn’t have much dialogue, which “makes this beautiful, sad platform for music.” The movie score is Lee’s first released music since Evanescence’s self-titled, third studio album dropped in 2011.
Lee is also reportedly suing her longstanding record label, Wind-Up Records, for at least $1.5 million over unpaid royalties and a variety of other alleged misdeeds, according to TMZ.com.
