Linkin Park Philippines Benefit Show to Debut on AXS TV
Linkin Park’s ‘Music for Relief Presents: Concert for the Philippines’ will air on AXS TV and then Music for Relief’s YouTube channel
Linkin Park recently held a major benefit concert, “Music for Relief Presents: Concert for the Philippines,” to help the victims of the Typhoon Haiyan, which ripped through ripped through parts of Southeast Asia in November of last year and earned the title of the deadliest Philippine typhoon on record. Now, fans that didn’t make it out to that Linkin Park benefit concert will be able to catch the full show on TV.
Linkin Park are set to broadcast the show — which offered live sets by Linkin Park, as well as the Offspring, Bad Religion, Incubus guitarist Mike Einziger and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker — at 8 p.m. EST on Feb. 15 on AXS TV. After the initial showing on AXS, the concert will be available on demand via Music for Relief’s YouTube channel.
Music for Relief has raised a significant amount of money for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan over the past few months. In total, the Linkin Park-fronted organization has raised over $500,000 in support of those impacted by Typhoon Haiyan, including funds raised from concert ticket sales and an online auction that offered autographed band goodies from the guys of Linkin Park, Alice in Chains and Green Day, among other big-named groups.
