Arctic Monkeys, Lorde, Kings of Leon, Foster the People Set for Lollapalooza 2014
Lollapalooza 2014 will feature 130 acts rocking several stages this August at Grant Park in Chicago
Organizers behind the annual Lollapalooza festival have announced this year’s lineup. Arctic Monkeys, Kings of Leon, Foster the People, Lorde, Eminem, Outkast, Skrillex, Young the Giant, Spoon, Cage the Elephant, the Avett Brothers and the Head and the Heart will all appear at this year’s festival, joined by many more.
Many of the artists were already heavily rumored to play the show, including Kings of Leon, Arctic Monkeys, Eminem and Skrillex, so the lineup isn’t a complete surprise.
In total, 130 acts will rock Lollapalooza’s several stages over three days: Aug. 1 through 3 at Chicago’s Grant Park. This year marks a special anniversary for Lollapalooza, too, as the festival first got its start as a destination festival 10 years ago in Chicago. Lollapalooza dates back to 1991, when it was a touring festival.
Other acts set to appear include Broken Bells, which features the Shins’ James Mercer and producer Danger Mouse, Chvrches, Interpol and Portugal. the Man. As with previous years, the lineup is heavy on the new alternative names, plug a dash of hip-hop.
Three-day Lollapalooza passes are already sold out, but single-day tickets go on sale today (March 26) at 10 a.m. CT. For more information, head to Lollapalooza’s official website.
