Aerosmith and Slash Announce North American Tour
It’s official: Aerosmith and Slash are hitting the road together this summer
The much-rumored tour with Aerosmith and former Guns N’ Roses guitar Slash is on. The two heavyweights have announced that they will team up for a North American tour, billed the Let Rock Rule tour, this summer. The jaunt will set off July 10 at a show in Wantagh, N.Y., and travel through a handful of major cities before wrapping up Sept. 12 at a concert in Sydney, Nova Scotia. Slash will be bringing along his backing band, Miles Kennedy of Alter Bridge and the Conspirators.
“Aerosmith is one of my all-time favorite bands, and one of the greatest rock & roll bands of all time,” Slash said in a statement. “It’s an honor for me to go out & tour with them and keep the rock & roll banner flying high.”
Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler says the feeling is mutual. “Looking forward to inciting a riot and building the tribal bonfire even higher — it’s a win-win with Slash,” Tyler said.
Tickets for the majority of the shows will go on sale to the general public beginning Monday (April 14) via the Live Nation website and mobile app. Those looking to jump on the tickets a bit early will find opportunities with Aerosmith and Slash’s websites, www.Aerosmith.com and www.SlashOnline.com.
