Courtney Love Releases New Punk-Fueled Song, ‘You Know My Name’
Listen: Courtney Love’s new song, ‘You Know My Name,’ is a non-stop punk train
Courtney Love enjoys surprising people, and she’s done it again. The Hole vocalist has a new single out, called “You Know My Name,” that she unleashed to the world out of seemingly nowhere this week.
“You Know My Name” is currently streaming via Courtney Love’s official YouTube Channel. The tune is a non-stop punk train that has Love singing, screaming and getting out lots of angst just like the Love that first caught rock’s attention 20-plus years ago with Hole. From gritty guitars to vigorous hooks, “You Know My Name” is a return to grunge. Note that while Love is reportedly back with Hole’s classic lineup, “You Know My Name” is a solo release.
Love recently appeared at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, where her late husband Kurt Cobain’s band Nirvana was honored and inducted into the Rock Hall.
