Nikki Sixx says to expect Foo Fighters twists on Sixx: A.M.’s upcoming album, thanks to drummer Taylor Hawkins
Foo Fighters fans won’t have to wait until the band’s next album drops to hear some new drumming from Taylor Hawkins. The Foo Fighters drummer will appear as a guest musician on the upcoming album from Sixx: A.M., according to Motley Crue and Sixx: A.M. bass player Nikki Sixx.
“Really excited Taylor Hawkins is gonna play on some of the new @SixxAm album,” Sixx tweeted, adding that it’s an honor because “he’s one of my favorite drummers.”
Slowly, the band has been leaking song titles from the upcoming album via Facebook, including “Let It Haunt You” and “Relief.”
Sixx: A.M. also features Guns ‘N Roses guitarist DJ Ashba and lead singer James Michael. The upcoming album will be the band’s third, following 2007’s “The Heroin Diaries Soundtrack” and 2011’s “This Is Gonna Hurt.” Off those releases, Sixx: A.M. has achieved three Top 10 rock radio hits: “Lies of the Beautiful People,” “Life is Beautiful” and “This Is Gonna Hurt.”
