Deftones, Drowning Pool and 12 Stones Lead 2014 Texas Showdown Tattoo & Music Festival Bill
The 2014 Texas Showdown Tattoo & Music Festival will offer a mix of live music and tattoo-themed events
Deftones, Drowning Pool and 12 Stones are among the acts confirmed for this year’s Texas Showdown Tattoo & Music Festival, a combined tattoo and music festival taking place July 18 through 20 at the El Paso County Coliseum in El Paso, Texas.
Other acts confirmed for the fifth year of the festival include Wu-Tang Clan, the Casualties, Lower Class Brats, Murder FM, Crazytown, Bridge to Grace, Grind, Bash, Snow tha Product, Sheek Louch, D-Block, Rare Individuals and more. In addition to the live music, more than 300 tattoo artists from around the world will be tattooing on site. Festival-goes will also take in sideshows, human suspension shows, a food and beer garden and more.
Deftones will perform at the event in support of their latest full-length, 2012’s “Koi No Yokan.” The Sacramento-based metal band is currently overseas playing shows in Russia (Park Live Festival and the A2 Concert Hall), Denmark (Roskilde Festival) and the United Kingdom (Sonisphere) and will return to the U.S. in early July. Dallas-based Drowning Pool released their latest album in 2013, “Resilience.” Mandeville, La.-based Christian rockers 12 Stones are playing behind their 2012 studio release, “Beneath the Scars.”
Tickets for the Texas Showdown Festival are $30 for daily tickets and $75 for weekend passes, plus charges, and are available via Ticketmaster.
