Kentucky heavy music festival Louder than Life getting ready for inaugural year
Hey, rock kids: There’s a new heavy music festival in town. Louder than Life will take place Oct. 4 and 5 at Champions Park in Louisville, Ky., and the first edition of the festival is set to feature a plethora of hard rock and metal names.
Judas Priest, Five Finger Death Punch, Korn, Limp Bizkit, Stone Temple Pilots with Chester Bennington and Kid Rock, are just a selection of the groups that have been confirmed for Louder than Life. In addition to the rocking and rolling, the festival will offer food and adult beverages.
“Louisville is known for a lot of things — but I don’t think people realize what a great rock town this is,” Danny Wimmer, who created the festival, said in a statement. “When I first came to Louisville, I fell in love with the city, its diverse food, its bourbon and its culture.”
Other acts slated for the two-day heavy music extravaganza include Buckcherry, Papa Roach, Mastodon, Theory of a Deadman, Steel Panther, Volbeat, Pop Evil, Fuel, Otherwise, Thousand Foot Krutch, Nothing More, Avatar and more.
