Haste the Day Announce New Album
Haste the Day are gathering all members, past and present, to record a new album
Christian hardcore band Haste the Day called it quits in 2011, but the guys have been inspired to get back together and put out a new record. The Indiana-based group, which rose to fame in the 2000s on Solid State Records, is gathering its forces to record a new studio album with help from their fans via an IndieGoGo campaign.
The group plans to start recording the new album in January of 2015 and release the set latr that year. What will make this album extra special is that while the chunk of the album will be written and recorded by the current Haste the Day lineup, the release will also feature contributions from every past member of Haste the Day since the band’s beginning.
Band members said the catalyst to do a new album was a warm feeling after playing a reunion commemorating 10 years since their debut record, “Burning Bridges.”
“Needless to say, the experience brought a lot of memories back for all members of Haste the Day, past and present,” the band said in a statement. “…This was a complex decision making process, but something we all wanted to do… we want to make the best album we can, one that would thrill fans of all eras of Haste the Day.”
The upcoming release will mark the group’s first new studio album since 2010’s “Attack of the Wolf King.”
