Former White Stripes frontman Jack White is sporting a new look

Detroit boy Jack White is usually in the news for releasing some cool vinyl or touring to support his “Lazaretto” album. This week, the former White Stripes frontman is making headlines for a different reason: his hair.

White posted a photo Thursday to his Third Man Records Instagram page showing off a pompadour and sideburns. While a lot of people are saying White’s new style is a “retro ‘50s look,” we think the look is similar to Wayne Static from Static-X, without the spikes.

In more important Jack White news, the singer and guitarist recently earned the title of holding the biggest-selling vinyl LP of 2014 with “Lazaretto.” The vinyl ablum also holds the largest vinyl sales volume of any year since Pearl Jam’s 1994 release, “Vitalogy,” according to Billboard.

White is currently on the road in support of “Lazaretto,” playing a handful of club and festival shows across North America before heading to Mexico and the U.K. later this fall. For a full list of White’s upcoming tour dates, visit his official website.
