Neil Young’s Bridge School Benefit will feature performances by grunge greats Pearl Jam and Soundgarden

The 28th annual Bridge School Benefit Concert is set for next month in California, and the official lineup has been revealed. Among the big players rocking this year’s lineup are grunge rock greats Soundgarden and Pearl Jam. Event organizer Neil Young announced the news, and although it’s been revealed that young and his wife Pegi are divorcing after 36 years of marriage, her band the Survivors will also be playing the show.

Other big names on the bill include Band of Horses, Florence + the Machine, Tom Jones and Nora Jones’new band Puss N Boots. The show will take place Oct. 25 and 26 at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, Calif.

The Bridge School Benefit Concert raises funds for the Bridge School, a facility Pegi Young founded that helps children with communication problems and other physical impairments. She started the school after looking for good care for her son Ben, who came into the world with cerebral palsy.
