Texas in July Announce Tour with Within the Ruins
Pennsylvania metal band Texas in July will keep busy on the road this November with Within the Ruins
Christian metal band Texas in July recently scored their highest-charting album with “Bloodwork,” which entered the Billlboard 200 chart at No. 71. Coming off that high showing, the Pennsylvania-based group have announced a fall co-headlining tour with Within the Ruins.
The trek will kick off Nov. 9 in Des Moines, Iowa and travel through a Nov. 26 stop in Ottawa, Ontario. More dates are expected to be announced soon. Before the Within the Ruins tour, Texas in July will be on the road with After the Burial, I Declare War, Reflections and Come the Dawn.
“Bloodwork” was not only Texas in July’s first release in two years, but it was also the band’s first album with new singer JT Cavey, who became a member of the group earlier this year.
Texas in July guitarist Chris Davis describes “Bloodwork” as an album of extremes. “It has some of our heaviest and most aggressive moments to date and also our most melodic and mellow sections as well,” he said in a statement. “It was all about pushing ourselves to extend our boundaries.”
