Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl wishes Oasis would get back together
Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl is apparently a big fan of Oasis. In fact, he wishes brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher would make up and get the band back together.
“The whole Oasis thing is a shame,” he said in an interview with XFM. “We all love Oasis. We’ve played shows with them before, where I look at them and think ‘That’s the greatest rock band I’ve ever seen in my life.’”
He added, “To know that they’re out there somewhere but they won’t come together to do the thing that everybody would love so much…”
Grohl added that his favorite thing about Oasis is that they’re fun. “They have such a crazy reputation of being ‘the Oasis guys’, and then you see them at the bar and they show you pictures of their kids,’” he said. “And you’re like ‘Wow, they’re just normal dudes’, y’know?”
Noel Gallagher is gearing up to release his sophomore with High Flying Birds, “Chasing Yesterday.” Meanwhile, Liam Gallagher’s band, Beady Eye, recently broke up.
