Alice in Chains’ Jerry Cantrell, Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler Set for Kings of Chaos
Jerry Cantrell, Steven Tyler, Billy Gibbons and more will take part in the 2015 Kings of Chaos tour
Former Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum heads up a supergroup of sorts called Kings of Chaos, and the band is back in 2015 with a new lineup of star musicians.
Sorum took to his official Facebook page to announce the news of Kings of Chaos’ regrouping, stating, “Rock n Roll is very much alive and well, Kings of Chaos will prove it this year by celebrating RNR with its greatest icons.” The message then goes on to dish on who will be in the lineup, naming Alice in Chains‘ Jerry Cantrell, Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler, ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons, Motorhead’s Lemmy, Iggy Pop and Cheap Trick’s Robin Zander. Sorum’s former Guns N’ Roses partners in crime Slash and Duff McKagan are also on the list.
Kings of Chaos played South Africa last November and December. The lineup on that tour included Tyler, Gibbons, Zander and McKagan. The group hasn’t toured in North America yet, although they did perform at the “Classic Rock Roll of Honour” ceremony last November in Los Angeles. Only time will tell if the guys make their way to the U.S. this year.
