‘2015 Grammy Nominees’ features rock-tinged tunes from Coldplay, Beck and Hozier
The 2015 Grammy Awards take place next month, and in honor of the musical celebration, the folks behind the event have put together an album called “2015 Grammy Nominees.” The release features tracks from the three artists nominated in the rock category: Coldplay‘s “A Sky Full of Stars,” Beck‘s “Blue Moon” and Hozier’s “Take Me to Church.”
Coldplay’s tune, “A Sky Full of Stars,” notched a nomination in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category. The track is off Coldplay’s sixth studio album, “Ghost Stories,” which was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album.
Beck’s single, “Blue Moon,” racked up two Grammy nominations: one for Best Rock Song and the other for Best Rock Performance. Beck’s latest album, “Morning Phase,” is nominated for Best Rock Album and Album of the Year.
Hozier’s song, “Take Me to Church,” is the only rock-tinged tune nominated for Song of the Year category.
The “2015 Grammy Nominees” album will arrive on Jan. 20. Meanwhile, the 57th Annual Grammy Awards will take place at 8 p.m. ET Feb. 8 on CBS.
