Hinder’s new lead vocalist, Marshal Dutton, has been involved with the band since 2009

Hinder parted ways with their original lead singer, Austin Winkler, late last year and also announced plans to release a new album, “When the Smoke Clears,” with another singer in toe. At the time, Nolan Neal stepped into the role of lead singer in the band, and his thick vocals appeared on the album’s first single, “Hit the Ground.”

Now, Hinder has dropped the news that the band has yet another new singer. Marshal Dutton will serve as the group’s new vocalist going forward, according to a post on Hinder’s official Facebook page.

“We are proud to introduce our newest member of Hinder, vocalist — Marshal Dutton,” the post read. “As our loyal and beloved fans know, we have been searching to find the perfect fit for two years now and recently came to realize that it was right under our nose the entire time.”

This isn’t Dutton’s first foray with the band. He started working with Hinder in 2009 as a co-writer and co-producer on the group’s album, “All American Nightmare.” Dutton has worked with Hinder since then and produced the new album, “When the Smoke Clears.”

“We have been the best of friends for many years and we couldn’t be more excited for the future,” the Facebook post explains.

“When the Smoke Clears” will arrive later this year.
