Gathering of the Vibes music festival will feature performances by Weezer, Wilco and more

The 20th annual Gathering of the Vibes music festival has just announced its lineup, and it includes some big names. Weezer, Wilco, the Gaslight Anthem, the String Cheese Incident and Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals are all set to perform at the festival, which takes place in Bridgeport, Conn.

“There’s an unmatched heart and soul to the Vibes community — coming together each summer, catching up with friends on stage and off,” said Ken Hays, who founded the festival. “Our 20th year together will be a truly inspirational and meaningful experience!”

Gathering of the Vibes started as a way for Grateful Dead fans to get together and pay their respects to the late Jerry Garcia. This year’s festival happens in conjunction with the Grateful Dead’s 50th anniversary, so the festival plans to commemorate the band. The Dead will also mark the 50th year with three final shows at Chicago’s Soldier Field. Phish frontman Trey Anastasio will perform with the Dead for these farewell gigs

Gathering of the Vibes is set for July 30 through Aug. 2 at Seaside Park in Bridgeport, Connecticut. For more information and to find tickets, visit the festival’s official website.
